Lighting Tips

Understanding Natural Light

Natural light is the most accessible and often the most beautiful lighting source. The quality of light changes throughout the day, offering different opportunities for photography.

Golden Hour

The golden hour is the period shortly after sunrise or before sunset. The light is soft, warm, and diffused, making it perfect for portrait and landscape photography.

Blue Hour

The blue hour is the time just before sunrise or after sunset when the sun is below the horizon. The light is cool and soft, ideal for capturing calm and serene scenes.

Midday Sun

Midday sun can be harsh and create strong shadows. However, it can be used creatively to add drama to your images. Use a reflector or diffused light to soften shadows when necessary.

Indoor Lighting

When shooting indoors, pay attention to the available light sources. Use window light for soft, natural illumination, or experiment with artificial lights like lamps and LED panels to create different effects.
